A must see attraction is the viewing platform above the River Shin, the perfect place to watch Atlantic Salmon leap.

The Forest trails which run through Achany Forest, open up this wonderful native woodland and allow everyone to enjoy the scenic splendour. It is the perfect opportunity to savour the marvellous views and observe the many animals in their natural environment. The trees are mainly coniferous but you will also see many native woodland varieties.

For the younger more active members of the family, the adventure playground is guaranteed to be a favourite with children of all ages. Lots of climbing frames, swings and slides will challenge even the most energetic of youngsters. Great fun!

Falls of Shin is easy to find and is about an hours drive north of Inverness off the B864 via A836 between Bonar Bridge and Lairg.

Restaurant

Whether you wish to have light refreshment or enjoy a full three course meal, our licensed restaurant offers delicious, seasonal homemade food. An extensive choice, including vegetarian options and a children's menu, is available from the servery counter. Relax and enjoy your meals in the light and airy conservatory with views of the forest and adventure playground. We serve hot food everyday from noon. We also now have an outdoor barbecue hut, offering seasonal barbecued food of the highest quality.
